Question to the Department for Transport:
To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what assessment his Department has made of licensing issues surrounding the proposed transfer of Network Rail's assets of Valley Lines to the Welsh Government and the future maintenance of those assets.

In developing its detailed proposals for the proposed transfer of ownership of the Cardiff Valley Lines, licensing issues relating to the assets are a matter for the Welsh Government and the Office of Rail and Road.
