Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what steps he is taking to ensure that his response to the covid-19 outbreak takes account of regional variations of infection rates and levels of hospital admissions in different parts of the country.
Regional variations are monitored via the weekly National Flu and COVID-19 surveillance reports. This information is used to help inform the response at local and regional level, such as the National Health Service and local Directors of Public Health, Local Resilience Forums and regional partnerships.
