London North East Railway (LNER), responsible for the management of York station, were eligible to register for the workplace asymptomatic testing scheme by the 12 April deadline.

The Department for Transport is in regular contact with the Rail Delivery Group (RDG), who represent the train operating companies (TOCs) including LNER. The rail minister, Chris Heaton-Harris, wrote to RDG earlier this year encouraging the take up of workplace testing.
