Question to the Department for Work and Pensions:

To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, what proportion of universal credit claims was processed and paid within six weeks in the last six-month period for which figures are available in (a) Barnsley, (b) South Yorkshire and (c) the UK.

There is no data broken down by area or region. However, data published on 15 September 2017 shows that, nationally, in June 2017 76% of new Universal Credit households received their first payment in full and on time. Across the whole of Universal Credit 92% of all households received full payment on time. The published data can be found here.
