Children: Swimming

Question to the Department for Education:

To ask the Secretary of State for Education, pursuant to the Answer of 13 September 2017 to Question 9798, on children: swimming, if she will consider the merits of collecting data on the proportion of children unable to achieve all three of the Swimming and Water Safety components.

As part of the Sports Strategy, the government established the Curriculum Swimming and Water Safety Review Group to provide recommendations on how we can help ensure that no young person leaves school unable to swim.

The group has now published its report, and we are considering our response.
