Question to the Department for Transport:
To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, whether the successful private sector bidder for the (a) Wales and Borders and (b) Metro franchise will be responsible for and have control of the day-to-day maintenance and operation of the Valley Lines.
This question was answered on 9th October 2017
Following the proposed transfer of ownership of the Cardiff Valley Lines, allocation of responsibility for control of the day-to-day maintenance and operation of the Valley Lines would be a matter for the Welsh Government.
