During my visit to China during the final week of August I had discussions with Vice Foreign Minister Wang Chao on our joint efforts to counter the Illegal Wildlife Trade, including the trafficking of ivory products. I also met our key NGO partners in country and reassured them of the UK’s continued leadership on this issue through funding quality projects and working closely with the Chinese government through the UK-China Global Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
