Question to the Department for Work and Pensions:
To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, whether new claimants receive an email acknowledgement of their submission of an online claim for universal credit.

Universal Credit send an acknowledgement of the submission of a claim to a claimant immediately, via a secure message in their online journal. This is a more secure method than email, is immediate and protects claimants’ personal data.
