Question to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government:

To ask the Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities, what steps he is taking to help ensure local development plans carry legal weight as part of the Levelling Up and Regeneration Bill.

I refer the Hon Member to the Secretary of State’s Written Ministerial Statement of 6 Dec, which address local plans and build out, as well as the infrastructure levy. We will be launching a technical consultation on the Infrastructure Levy shortly which consider the timing of payments.
