Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, with reference to Part One of the National Disability Strategy published on 28 July 2021, whether his Department developed an autism public understanding initiative by autumn 2021 working with autistic people and their families and the voluntary sector as planned.

We have been working with stakeholders to develop the autism public understanding initiative, which was announced in the refreshed national autism strategy in July 2021. Work is ongoing and we are aiming to launch the initiative by July 2022.
