Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, what steps the Government is taking to assess the condition of John Henry Cantlie and to secure his release.

We do not comment publicly on our operational response to kidnapping. The Foreign and Commonwealth Office continues to support Mr Cantlie's family at this very difficult time.
