Question to the Department for Work and Pensions:
To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, whether the two-child limit will apply to existing tax credit claimants when they are migrated onto universal credit.
Claimants who migrate from Tax Credits to Universal Credit will have to make a new claim to Universal Credit. Tax Credit claimants with three children or more who migrate from Tax Credits to Universal Credit will continue to receive additional support for the same number of children or qualifying young persons, so long as they make a new claim to Universal Credit within six months of leaving Tax Credits and remain responsible for the same children or qualifying young persons.
