The UK works with other EU Member States through a range of EU tools and measures that help facilitate cross border cooperation in the area of law enforcement and criminal justice to help safeguard children and young people, among others.

It will be in the mutual interest of the UK and the EU to agree new arrangements that enable continued cooperation across a wide range of these structures and measures to support effective safeguarding of children and young people across borders.

The exact details of our future relationship with the EU on law enforcement and criminal justice will need to be agreed in the course of negotiations.
