Product safety is a priority of this Government and the UK has legislation in place, which requires manufacturers to place only safe products on the market and to take action where a safety issue is identified.

It is our priority to continue the UK’s strong history of protecting consumers. The European Union (Withdrawal) Bill will convert directly applicable EU law into UK law and provide a power to correct parts of the law that no longer work. This will help maximise certainty for consumers and businesses as we leave the EU.
