Question to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government:

To ask the Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities, if he will take steps to require (a) councils and (b) other social housing providers to make assessments of the number of homes that do not reach acceptable standards on (i) damp, (ii) heating and (iii) ventilation.

The Secretary of State has written to social housing providers, setting out his expectation that they act swiftly to rectify damp and mould and be prepared to respond to the Regulator of Social Housing on the extent of these issues.

The annual English Housing Survey publishes data on damp and mould and energy efficiency.
