Question to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government:

To ask the Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities, if he will take steps to regulate properties classified as houses in multiple occupation where a private landlord also rents some rooms as short-term holiday lets.

A property is a House in Multiple Occupation (HMO) if it meets the definitions set out in the Housing Act 2004, even if a landlord also lets part of the property as short term let.
