Question to the Department for Transport:
To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what plans he has for commissioning work on the development of an integrated transport system bringing rail and bus travel together .

The National Bus Strategy has set out Government plans for bus and rail transport to be better integrated with other modes and with each other. Our Bus Service Improvement Plan guidance to local authorities, published in May 2021, is clear that more bus routes and demand-responsive services should serve railway stations and that bus services should be timed to connect with trains.
