Question to the Department for Transport:

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what assessment he has made on the potential merits of trams to small cities such as York.

My Department continues to work with all Local Authorities and with the industry bodies, including UK Tram and the Confederation of Passenger transport, to advise Local Authorities on how to meet their local transport needs, whether through bus, tram or other modes.
