Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, if he will make it his policy to maintain the covid-19 testing regime in place on 19 January 2022 until infection rates are significantly reduced.

We will continue to provide free lateral flow device tests for asymptomatic use and polymerase chain reaction test for symptomatic use. We will continue to review the provision of testing in line with the latest public health advice.
