Question to the Ministry of Justice:

To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, how many European Protection Orders were granted by British courts in each year since 2015.

The table below shows the numbers of “European Protection Orders” made in England and Wales pursuant to Directive 2011/999/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 13 December 2011 on the European Protection Order. Criminal justice is devolved so data for Scotland and Northern Ireland are not included. The citizenship status of the protected person is not collected separately so is not shown, but the table does show the number of orders made in the courts of England and Wales and transmitted to other Member States and also the number received in England and Wales from other Member States.
