Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:
To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, what recent steps his Department has taken to support the implementation of the Government's counter-terrorism strategy overseas.
We have taken significant steps to implement our international counter-terrorism strategy. We have deployed an increase in staff across the globe during the course of the last two years, boosting our existing efforts, including in the Middle East, North Africa, South Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa. This increase has helped us to work with our international partners on priorities such as tackling the risk posed by foreign fighters who may now leave conflict zones in Iraq and Syria, and on Preventing Terrorist Use of the Internet.
