Question to the HM Treasury:

To ask Mr Chancellor of the Exchequer, what assessment he has made of the effect of the beer duty increases announced in the March 2017 Budget on beer consumption in the (a) on-trade and (b) off-trade.

The Treasury keeps all taxes under review and engages with a wide variety of organisations to understand industry developments, including the beer and pub industry and public health groups.
