Question to the Department for International Development:

To ask the Secretary of State for International Development, what bilateral assistance her Department is providing to reduce malaria cases and deaths in Nigeria.

Since 2008 DFID has delivered 11 million insecticide treated nets to Nigerian families, 4.5 million malaria treatments, 5 million rapid diagnostic kits and has also trained 22,000 health workers to improve their malaria treatment skills. DFID’s new malaria programme for Nigeria is currently being tendered.
