Question to the HM Treasury:

To ask Mr Chancellor of the Exchequer, what assessment the Government has made of the effect of caring responsibilities on (a) labour productivity and (b) economic growth.

The Government has not made an estimate of the effect of having caring responsibilities on labour productivity or economic growth.

The Government is committed to continuing to support carers to provide care as they wish, and to do so in a way that supports their own health & wellbeing, employment and other life chances.
