The UK is one of 127 member governments of the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform for Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services. This is currently undertaking the most comprehensive ever assessment of changing global ecosystems and their importance to human societies.

In March 2018, members of the Platform will meet to adopt four Regional Assessments of Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services, which together cover the entire planet except Antarctica and the open oceans.

The UK government has supported this Platform since its inception and will continue to publicise its reports where they are relevant and of interest to the public.
