Question to the Department for International Trade:

To ask the Secretary of State for International Trade, with reference to her Department’s publication of electronic purchasing card spending over £500 for October 2022, who attended the meal purchased for £1,120.00 at One Lombard Street on 20 October 2021; and whether that included any expenditure on alcoholic beverages.

This spend was by the Director General Trading Systems who hosted a dinner for her counterparts attending the G7 Trade Working group ahead of the G7 Trade Ministers meeting on 21st October 2022. A total of 17 people attended the dinner, and no alcoholic beverages were purchased or consumed.
