Question to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government:

To ask the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, if he will make it his policy to bring forward legislative proposals for including emergency service provision as essential community infrastructure, on the same footing as health and education, as part of his proposed new planning legislation.

Our consultation on the planning reforms proposed in the white paper ‘Planning for the Future’ closed on 29 October. We are now analysing responses and will publish our conclusions and intentions in due course.
