Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, what representations he has made to his Turkish counterpart on the treatment of Pastor Andrew Brunson in respect of religious minorities and fair and equitable access to justice for those minorities in that country.

We have not made specific representations to the Turkish Government on the case of Pastor Andrew Brunson. However we take a strong interest in the situation of religious minority groups in Turkey and encourage the Turkish authorities to safeguard their welfare. We will continue to monitor the situation.
