Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what steps he is taking to increase funding for research into the prevention of dementia.

We are investing £375 million in neurodegenerative disease research over the next five years, including dementia and prevention. In March 2021, the National Institute for Health Research issued an invitation for research proposals, including those with a focus on dementia prevention. We will be setting out our plans on dementia and research in England for future years in 2022.
