Question to the Home Office:
To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, when she expects an order to be brought forward bringing the National Police Chiefs Council under the auspices of the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
This question was answered on 6th November 2017
The Government will bring forward an Order to bring the National Police Chiefs’ Council (NPCC) under the auspices of the Freedom of Information Act 2006 as soon as Parliamentary time allows. Before such an Order can be made, we will consult with the NPCC, as is required by legislation.
