The Government is fully committed to ensuring the introduction of a new, independent and effective Rail passenger Ombudsman to investigate and rule on unresolved customer complaints. Good progress is being made, with the Rail Delivery Group, working with Transport Focus, London TravelWatch and the Office of Rail and Road, having started the tender process to procure a specialist ombudsman provider to run the scheme from next year.
