Question to the Department for Transport:

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, if he will involve ACAS in talks to agree terms for negotiations with the rail unions in the context of the industrial action.

The Government is not a party to these discussions. The parties to these disputes, the trade unions and the employers, are able to decide on how best to resolve the disputes. It would be for them to consider if they wish to consult with ACAS.
