Question to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs:

To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, what steps her Department is taking to ensure that any ban on caged systems for laying hens is accompanied by equivalent trade measures which prevent the import of eggs and egg products produced to lower welfare standards than those permitted in the UK.
