Question to the HM Treasury:

To ask Mr Chancellor of the Exchequer, whether he plans to launch a public inquiry into tax (a) avoidance, (b) evasion and (c) transparency in the Crown Dependencies and UK overseas territories.

There are no plans to launch a public enquiry. The UK has led the world in tackling tax evasion and avoidance by raising levels of transparency across the globe. The Crown Dependencies and Overseas Territories with financial centres are engaged in those global initiatives.
