Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health, with reference to Feeding Britain, published in December 2014 by the All Party Parliamentary Inquiry into Hunger in the UK, what steps his Department is taking to provide support to those suffering from food poverty in the UK.

The issues raised in the Feeding Britain report affect a number of Government Departments. Food poverty, however, it not a matter for the Department of Health.

The Department has a range of programmes to support good nutrition, such as, the Nursery Milk Scheme and the Healthy Start Scheme.
