Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health, how many births per full time equivalent NHS midwife there were in each region of England in each of the last three years.

NHS Digital publishes workforce statistics and the Office for National Statistics publishes annual birth statistics. The attached table shows the number of births per full time equivalent midwife that have occurred between the years of 2014-16.
