Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health, what steps his Department is taking to improve the (a) physical and (b) mental wellbeing of staff employed in his Department.

Within the Department, we are supporting the cross Civil Service health and wellbeing priorities to improve the physical and mental wellbeing of staff:

- We have visible leadership for health and wellbeing;

- We encourage an open dialogue on mental health;

- We promote the benefits of a healthy lifestyle;

- We promote national wellbeing campaigns; and

- We support people to stay at work and return to work.
