The EIB has operations both in EU Member States and third countries. The future relationship between the UK and the European Investment Bank (EIB) will be determined as part of the negotiations on the UK’s exit from the EU and the government will not be giving a running commentary on these negotiations.

However, in his Mansion House speech on 20 June the Chancellor said that; “In the long-term, it may be mutually beneficial to maintain a relationship between the UK and the EIB after we leave the EU.” The government is looking to explore these options with the EU as part of the negotiations.
