Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what assessment his Department has made, or plans to make, of the impact of the right to practise philosophical beliefs relating to diet on the mental wellbeing of those receiving care, in the context of the White Paper entitled People at the Heart of Care.

Local authorities should facilitate personalised care in line with their legal duties. The white paper states that personalised care should be the norm, allowing choice, control and support to live independent lives. This includes dietary requirements and preferences where appropriate.
