British Overseas Territories: Tax Avoidance

Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:
To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, whether his Department has made an estimate of the scale of tax avoidance in the overseas territories.

Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs (HMRC) only estimates tax lost to avoidance within the United Kingdom. HMRC does not estimate tax losses outside its jurisdiction.
