Question to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government:

To ask the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, pursuant to the answer of 14 January 2026, to Question 103294, on Local Government: Elections, whether his Department’s (a) Permanent Secretary private office and (b) HR division is informed whether a civil servant has been given permission to run in the 2026 local elections.

We are not aware of any approvals having been given.
