Responsibility for the health and wellbeing of staff in schools is primarily a matter for local employers. It is for school governing bodies and local authorities to consider what support and guidance is appropriate with regard to employees with disabilities and health conditions.

Employers must adhere to relevant employment law, including the Equality Act 2010, taking advice as necessary.
