Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health, how many (a) doctors, (b) nurses, (c) other medical professionals, (d) directors of NHS trusts and (e) other NHS staff have been prosecuted following an investigation by NHS Protect in each of the last five years.

The number of prosecutions by NHS Protect following investigations of fraud in each category for the last five years is shown in the following table.
