The apprenticeship levy is an important part of our reforms, supporting employers of all sizes to invest in high-quality apprenticeship training.

The department is continuing to improve apprenticeships, making them more flexible and making it easier for employers to make greater use of their levy funds. The department is increasing apprenticeship funding to £2.7 billion by financial year 2024/25 to support more employers and apprentices to benefit from apprenticeships.

The department does not currently have any plans to review the apprenticeship levy or consult on any changes to it.
