Tackling knife crime is a priority for this Government. It is already an offence to threaten someone with a knife whether in public or on private property. On 14 October the Government launched a consultation on proposals for new laws in relation to offensive and dangerous weapons. The consultation document is open until 9 December and is available on the gov.uk website https://www.gov.uk/government/consultations/offensive-and-dangerous-weapons-new-legislation
