The Government is committed to increasing recycling rates. With the Waste and Resources Action Programme (WRAP) we are working with local councils and industry to make it easier for households to recycle, by rationalising packaging formats (in particular ridged plastic packaging) to those that are recyclable and to expand the range of materials collected for recycling.

WRAP has refreshed and relaunched its national Recycle Now campaign with new communication materials for local authorities and others. Information on what householders can recycle locally is available on the Recycle Now website.
