Question to the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy:

To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, with reference to his Department's paper, Industrial Strategy: Building a Britain fit for the future, for what reason does it not include proposals for a Sector Deal for the creative industries.

I refer the hon. Member to the answer I gave on 7 September 2017 to Question UIN 8628. A proposal from the creative industries was one of the earliest ones we received. As such we are in advanced discussions with the sector about developing an ambitious Sector Deal.
