Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what plans he has to issue a new dental contract for the 2022-23 financial year.
This question was answered on 9th February 2022
Work to reform the National Health Service dental contract is underway and is being led by NHS England and NHS Improvement working closely with the Department and the British Dental Association (BDA).
Any proposed contractual changes will be negotiated with the BDA and may involve legislative changes. It is therefore not possible to set out a timetable for implementation of any new contractual arrangements at this stage.
