The answer to PQ 113243 was a formal statement of the Government's policy in standard terms. That policy self-evidently includes supporting the Palestinian Authority to lay the foundations for a safe and secure Palestinian state. In line with United Nations Security Council Resolution 242 (1967) the UK has always supported the right of all parties in the region to a just and lasting peace, with secure and recognised boundaries.
