Question to the Department for Education:

To ask the Secretary of State for Education, with reference to paragraph 6.27 of the Autumn Budget 2017, what plans she has to apply the revised public sector pay policy to school support staff and teaching assistants.

Responsibility for the pay and conditions of support staff lies at a local level with head teachers and school employers. They are best placed to use their professional judgement to set support staff terms and conditions.
